YouTube Like Button Animation Templates
A like prompt works in the middle of a video, when someone has watched long enough to have an opinion but has not thought about the button. It has to read in a second and leave without interrupting what is being said.
Unlike a subscribe ask, a like ask is cheap for the viewer — it costs one tap and no commitment — so it can be lighter and quicker. The graphics in this shelf are built around a single gesture: a thumb slamming down, a burst, a double tap, a meter filling.
Because the ask is small, the graphic should be too. These run three to six seconds and most occupy a corner rather than the middle of the frame, so they can appear over a demonstration without hiding it.
The counter, the label and the colours are editable, and the burst particles are real layers rather than a video file — you can change their colour to match your channel without the edges going soft.
Every template here is free to open, free to change and free to watch back, with no account needed to browse. Exporting the finished file costs $5 once for that project, or a plan covers every export.

Using like graphics
- Where in a video does a like prompt belong?
- Mid-roll, right after a moment worth reacting to. The point is to catch someone who is already nodding along; a prompt in dead air is a prompt that gets ignored.
- How often can I ask?
- Once a video is plenty. A second ask reads as nagging and costs you more goodwill than the extra taps are worth.
- Do these work over any footage?
- They are exported with a transparent background, so yes. The lighter designs read better over dark footage and the darker plates over bright — the fill colours are editable either way.
- Can I change the colour and the timing?
- Both, and they are the two worth changing. A like prompt borrowed from another channel reads as borrowed; the same shape in your own colour reads as yours. Timing matters more here than anywhere else, because a like ask that outstays a beat is the one people find irritating — shorten the hold in the editor without rebuilding the entrance. None of it needs After Effects.
