Chrome Relief Bar
Mirror-chrome lettering over a cool graphite plate.
A channel bar sits along the lower edge of the frame and carries your name and mark without covering the shot. It is the graphic a viewer sees most often, so it is the one worth making yours.

How this one is built
Chrome Relief Bar is built from 4 shapes, 2 text layers, 1 image and 1 3D layer, using a grey-to-charcoal gradient, the word "YouBrand" extruded in chrome under softbox light and a shadow 80 pixels deep. Its colours are white, grey, charcoal, near-black and pale blue. Type is set in Inter.
The bar plate rises into place at 0.2s, the channel name 3D scales up at 0.6s, the play mark rises into place at 0.6s, the play glyph fades up at 0.7s, and 5 further beats follow before the end. The whole run is 6s at 60 frames a second.
It sits through the middle of the frame of a 16:9 composition, spanning about 60% of the width at 1152×188 pixels.
What to do with it
- Make it yoursChange the words, the colours and the timing without breaking the animation that was built for the shape.
- Export it with transparencyWhich format your editor actually reads, and why a black rectangle behind your graphic means the wrong one was chosen.
- Keep it out of the controlsYouTube draws its progress bar and controls over the bottom of the picture. A bar pinned flush to the edge is the one that gets covered.
- What exporting costsOpening this template, changing it and watching it back are free. Getting the finished file out is $5 once for this project, or a plan if you make them often.
