How this one is built
Step Counter is built from 3 text layers and 1 shape, using a 22-pixel backdrop blur behind frosted glass rimmed in white and a shadow 48 pixels deep. Its colours are near-black, white and green. Type is set in IBM Plex Mono and Inter.
The panel scales up at 0.1s, the step number scales up at 0.4s, the step of and step title fade up at 0.5s. The whole run is 10s at 60 frames a second.
It sits along the top to the left of a 16:9 composition, spanning about 24% of the width at 460×96 pixels.
What to do with it
- Make it yoursChange the words, the colours and the timing without breaking the animation that was built for the shape.
- Export it with transparencyWhich format your editor actually reads, and why a black rectangle behind your graphic means the wrong one was chosen.
- Keep it clear of the edgesWhere an overlay can sit without colliding with the player, the end screen or a caption.
- YouTube Overlay MakerBuild an overlay from nothing, with the transparency decided by you rather than inherited.
- What exporting costsOpening this template, changing it and watching it back are free. Getting the finished file out is $5 once for this project, or a plan if you make them often.
