Star Rating
Five stars filling one at a time, for a verdict on something.
A Short is watched on a phone held upright, usually without sound, and decided in the first three seconds. These are built vertical, with type heavy enough to carry the point silently and everything kept clear of the title and buttons the platform draws over its own bottom quarter.

How this one is built
Star Rating is built from 10 images, 1 shape and 1 text layer, using a shadow 26 pixels deep. Its colours are white, amber and near-black. Type is set in Inter.
The star 1 empty, star 2 empty and star 3 empty fade up at 0.1s, the star 1 turns in at 0.6s, the star 2 turns in at 0.8s, the star 3 turns in at 1.1s, and 3 further beats follow before the end. The whole run is 6s at 60 frames a second.
It sits through the middle of the frame of a vertical composition, spanning about 59% of the width at 632×238 pixels.
What to do with it
- Make it yoursChange the words, the colours and the timing without breaking the animation that was built for the shape.
- Export it with transparencyWhich format your editor actually reads, and why a black rectangle behind your graphic means the wrong one was chosen.
- Stay clear of the platform's own UIShorts draws the title, the channel and a column of buttons over its own frame. What is left is the column these are built for.
- What exporting costsOpening this template, changing it and watching it back are free. Getting the finished file out is $5 once for this project, or a plan if you make them often.
